Willem Harold Boog (Netherlands)
Willem Harold Boog (b. 1964) is city organist of Zeist (Netherlands), a church musician and an international concert organist. He graduated from the conservatory with Jos van der Kooy (organ, church music/improvisation), where he studied with Remy Syrier (harpsichord), Willem Hendrik Zwart (chorale art), Christoph Schoener (Bach & Mendelssohn) and Istvan Baróti (Liszt, Widor & Franck). He holds the title of Knight of the Order of Orange Nassau. He has producedmade 17 CD recordings and radio- and television broadcasts, and is active as a choir conductor, composer and teacher. In addition to many concerts in the Netherlands (including the 35th Traditional Orange Concert on King's Day & the 34rd International Organ Concert Series Oosterkerk Zeist), Germany, England, Canada & America, he has made four concert tours through Flanders, Austria, Poland, Hungary and Italy. He also organized a very successful Flemish-Dutch Organ Festival in Zeist in 2023. He is has been called the 'standard bearer of Dutch choral art after Jan Zwart'.
