Cuore Chamber Choir is an award-winning mixed-voice ensemble based in Dublin, performing a diverse repertoire from early polyphony to world premieres, with a particular affinity for the music of living composers. Now celebrating their tenth anniversary, Cuore has consistently achieved high standards at festivals in Ireland and abroad. In December they were awarded Best Overall Choir and Best Performance of a Contemporary Irish Choral Work in RTÉ Lyric FM's Choirs for Christmas competition. Cuore was awarded Gold at the Ave Verum Choral Competition in Baden, Austria (2024) and two second prizes at the Tallinn Choir Festival, Estonia (2023). They have won first prizes at major competitions in Ireland including the Feis Ceoil (2023), Cork (2018), Mayo (2016), Sligo (2016) and New Ross (2015). Upcoming performances include a free concert with visiting American choirs in Christ Church Cathedral on 21st June, a charity performance at the National Concert Hall in October, and their own Christmas with Cuore concert in St. Marys Haddington Rd. on 20th December. Amy Ryan is an award-winning conductor from Killarney working with a wide range of professional and amateur groups. She has founded prize-winning ensembles, including Cuore. Under her leadership, Cuore has gained national and international recognition, with acclaimed performances and competition successes. Amy is Artistic Director of University College Dublin (UCD) Philharmonic Choir. She has prepared choruses for Irish National Opera, Blackwater Valley Opera Festival and Lyric Opera. She also conducts the Irish-language upper voice choir, Cór Duibhlinne, and the professional choir at the Pepper Canister (St. Stephens Church), Mount St. Amy has guested with the UCD Symphony Orchestra on multiple occasions, conducting concertos and symphonies, in addition to choral-orchestral works. She has conducted the National Symphony Orchestra and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, and has also performed as a cellist and flautist across Europe and the U.S.A. Amy studied under renowned conductors and holds advanced qualifications in choral conducting and pedagogy from the Kodály Institute of the Liszt Academy of Music, Hungary. She was Chairperson of Kodály Ireland from 2018-2022 and was appointed to the board of Sing Ireland in December 2022. Amy lectures in Music at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, and previously at Trinity College, Dublin.
Judit Máté is a Hungarian-born organist, church musician, and choral conductor currently based in Ireland. She began studying the organ at the age of fourteen under the guidance of local organist Edit Sabján. In 2006, she earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Church Music in Hungary, and later completed a Masters Degree in Organ Performance at TU Conservatoire, Dublin, in 2016. Her organ studies in Ireland were mentored by Simon Harden, Siobhán Kilkelly, Colm Carey, and David Adams. In 2011, Judit founded the St Judes Chamber Orchestra and Concert Choir, a project-based amateur ensemble that performed a diverse repertoire, including works by Hungarian composers as well as Vivaldi, Pergolesi, Mozart, and Rheinberger. Since 2022, she has been musical director of the Trim-based Credo Vocal Ensemble. Judit is currently the organist at St Michaels Church in Dún Laoghaire and also serves as the artistic director of the Dún Laoghaire Summer Organ Concerts. In addition, she is the organist at the Church of the Divine Word, Marley Grange. As a recital organist, she has performed in Hungary, Ireland, and France.
