MARTINA SMYTH began her organ studies with David Adams at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in 2009 before being accepted onto the RIAM's BA in performance degree course in September 2013. In June 2017 she completed the final year of her degree, the first ever organist to do so. In 2012 Martina won first prize at the Northern Ireland International Organ Competition (Intermediate Category), and in 2013 she came first in the Feis Ceoil senior organ competition. In 2015 she won the Fitzgerald trophy in the Feis Ceoil for advanced organ playing. In 2016 she was shortlisted for the Northern Ireland International Organ Competition senior category. Throughout the four years of her degree Martina has played a vital role in the music departments of Dublin's two Anglican cathedrals. In 2013 she was awarded the organ scholarship at Christ Church Cathedral, a position she held for two years before starting her current role as organ scholar at St Patrick's Cathedral in September 2015. In September Martina will relocate to London, where she looks forward to commencing her new role as organ scholar of Croydon Minster.  

ROBBIE CARROLL has just finished his final year of the BMus performance degree in DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama. Having previously been organ scholar of Galway Cathedral he is now completing his third year as the organ scholar of St Mary's Pro-Cathedral, Dublin. Here he has worked closely with the Palestrina Choir under the direction of Blánaid Murphy. He has accompanied the choir on tours to the USA, Brussels and Rome, also for its most recent CD. Robbie is currently studying the organ under Simon Harden, having studied previously with the late Una Russell, Colm Carey and Siobhán Kilkelly. He has won multiple prizes in the Feis Ceoil and has performed as concerto soloist with the DIT Symphony Orchestra. He also holds an associate diploma in piano performance from the London College of Music. He has competed in the Northern Ireland International Organ Competition as well as the Young Musician of the Year. In the 2016 competition he won the Brennan Prize for the most promising musician in the competition and was the first organist to compete. He has participated in masterclasses with Eric Lebrun, John Kitchen, Gillian Weir and Sophie-Véronique Cauchefer-Choplin.
